It's not always about what the posture "should" look like, focus instead on how the pose FEELS to you and your body. Everybody is different & what's right for one person's body may not be right for another. Honor your body and its limitations. Keep in mind that yoga is a practice, a personal practice, that is constantly evolving & expanding if you allow it to.

Vinyasa Power Flow: Intermediate-Advanced
A physically challenging and flowing yoga class with attention to breath synchronized with your physical postures. Practice energetic Asanas and sequences to build a strong flexible body and mind, detoxify and reenergize, and leave with a greater sense of peace and well being.
Sculpting Yoga: Intermediate-Advanced
Sculpting Yoga is a unique vinyasa flow that incorporates small handheld weights. This class allows you to get deeper into your stretches, builds strength while sculpting long lean muscles & increases the mind body connection!
HOT VINYASA YOGA FLOW
Transform your body through a free flowing sequence of breathe synchronized movements. As you are guided into the asana, with emphasis on spinal integrity and correct alignment, YOUR breathe begins the movement and YOUR body continues the movement, deepening body awareness. Classes are appropriate for all level students however we will be in a constant dance like flow that will keep you moving and work up a sweat. Vinyasa flow will increase endurance, flexibility, balance and strength.
Room will be about 90 degrees.
HOT Power Flow w/Lindsey:
Uniting breathe and movement, this class will move through a vigorous vinyasa flow into strong holds and standing poses, encouraging students to work right up to their edge. Hot yoga is both a mental and physical challenge, and will use the heat to gain a cleansing and full body workout.Room will be about 90 degrees.
Beginner Yoga:
Beginner Yoga will give you a strong introduction to Yoga; including basic breathing exercises, foundational poses with inner awareness and alignment, and deep relaxation. This class moves at a very moderate pace, allowing for questions and concerns throughout, so as to find what is right for your body.
Yoga Flow-Beginner +
We are all beginners! This class is suitable for both beginners and for those with some experience and will include basic breathing exercises (pranayama), foundational poses, sun salutations, and deep relaxation.It will deepen our understanding of the breath, or pranayama; and how its connection to our practice can create your own personal meditation in motion.
A gentle workout for body, mind and spirit synchronizing breath with movement through a flowing series of basic asanas and sequences. The flow is designed to develop balance, build strength and increase flexibility, leaving students with reduced stress, inner calm, and heightened awareness.
Gentle Yoga:
Gentle Yoga is a class that focuses on relaxation, meditation and yoga for healing the body. Whether your body is recovering from injury or from being inactive for too long or you just want a gentle introduction to yoga, this class is perfect for you. You will learn how to listen to your body, how to move mindfully and avoid injury while doing yoga.The class starts with a brief meditation and is followed by breathing techniques, warm-ups and postures specifically chosen based on what it is you are feeling in your body that day. So much of our pain is caused by simply ignoring our bodies. Take care of your body, treat yourself to a gentle yoga class and learn what your body needs.

This class is your fun approach to total body fitness! Define & Sculpt the arms & back, an AMAZING core strengthening & tightening, a good kick in the lifted booty department and fabulous lean lengthening leg exercises!

Gravity Classes at Good Karma Studio...
There are so many aspects of our Gravity Classes and there are so many ways to incorporate the swing into a practice that is right for you. The swing can provide a Fun & Freeing experience. A strong support through challenging poses involving balance and focus. Decompression of the Spine and a release of built up tension. A test of Patience & Trust. As well as, an increase in strength & flexibility-Mind Body & Spirit!
What class is right for you??
The more you bring yourself to your Gravity Practice the more relaxed and comfortable you become in your swing.
Beginner Class Experience:
(Fun & Exciting) a little bit of this and a little bit of that!
As we get to know our swing; this class is light hearted and includes a lot of laughs! Often students’ leave saying, “I felt like a kid on the playground again!” With so many different aspects of Yoga, not every class has to be so serious, it’s ok to have fun with your practice! In this class we incorporate the swing to include traditional yoga poses with deep stretching & balance, and yet tap into that child-like gymnast/the graceful Cirque De Soleil want to be/ or the dreams of high flying Circus Trapeze Artist! I.E…a little superman flying, cannonball swinging, and our inversions (hanging upside down) to lengthen the spine & release the mind! Aaaaaahhh what a freeing experience!
All levels Class Experience:
(Even more fun & More Exciting!!!) Very similar to your Beginners Class
You leave your first class having had a good experience (we hope J ) BUT within any first Gravity class their will always be that uncertainty to the unfamiliar. Your second class is a completely different experience, and your third class…well… you feel graceful and accomplished! As with anything new, there will always be challenges. We all start somewhere! We grow the more we put into our practice. So again, while you get to know your swing, your first class usually involves watching instead of feeling, seeing what comes next instead of being in the pose; because you have no idea what crazy thing your teacher may make you do next J There is usually a sense of over gripping your swing/tensing the body, especially in inversions (fyi…it’s amazing to see a first time student’s inversion in the beginning of class and then when we revisit it at the end!) that one hour alone creates enough freedom and trust within yourself to relax a little deeper.
THAT is what your all levels class is about! Taking yourself to the next level of release, of comfort and ease within the swing and within yourself! Allow yourself to be transformed & have fun while you do it!
Side Note:
There is no such thing as perfection. Throughout your practice there is always room to improve, go deeper, stretch further, enhance/deepen your pranayama (breath). Many students never leave the Beginner/All levels classes for many different reasons. Maybe they love the freedom and joy they feel, maybe they need to negate a sense of “seriousness” from their lives, and a lot of times they just love to hang upside down! When you “let go”, and you’ll know what I mean when you find it, it truly is an amazing feeling! All of these reasons and any others are PERFECT! There is no right or wrong & we all do things for different reasons, need things for different reasons! Allow your swing to help you build confidence within yourself!
Gravity Deep Stretch/Restorative Yoga (Beginner +)
Gravity Deep Stretch Yoga eliminates the flips and tricks and gets right down to business! Are you a runner? Too much strength training and feeling tight? Do you suffer from low back pain or arthritis?
This class is for you! We take the best of the best stretches with the use of the swing to lengthen & relieve all of your sore muscles. With a focus on hamstrings, hips. low back, etc... Holding each stretch longer with the use of the breath to relax the body and get deeper! Start & end your class with a relaxing inversion to decompress the spine, feel longer, taller & allow all of your stresses melt away!
Gravity Yoga Intermediate:
(Less Fun :( but more Serious :)-fyi…not always!
Looking for a stronger yoga approach to your practice, then join our intermediate class. Again, to each their own! Some people are looking for a challenge of fun & whimsical as in our Beginner/All Levels Classes; while others are interested in engaging & sustaining more challenging traditional poses, deepening the connection with the breath throughout our practice, and increasing focus and awareness. (Deeper Back Bends, Creative inversions-ex. Eagle, Scorpion, and more!)
Gravity Power Yoga: (Similar to a challenging Power Yoga Class)
This class is designed to build Strength, Balance, flexibility, and Focus. Challenging Poses in our floor series. Side angles, Binds, Planks, chaturangas, Supported Headstands/Handstands, Inverted crunches, strengthening upper body flips, and a Breath of Power!
Intro to Gravity Power Yoga: (Similar to a challenging Power Yoga Class)
In our intro class we will begin to explore these more challenging poses. This class will provide you with a solid foundation to join the Gravity Power Yoga class where we hold our poses longer and is a little more strenuous with even more challenging postures!
This class is designed to build Strength, Balance, flexibility, and Focus. Challenging Poses in our floor series. Side angles, Binds, Planks, chaturangas, Supported Headstands/Handstands, Inverted crunches, strengthening upper body flips, and a Breath of Power!
Gravity Acro-Yoga:
A class of aerial acrobatics, Cirque De Soleil here we come! This class allows you to stretch and tone your body while suspended in the air. Each class begins with stretching and strengthening exercises. We will then practice inversions, flips, advanced tricks and begin to create combinations to sequence an advanced Gravity Acro-Yoga routine.
This class is so much fun you won''t even realize that you are working out!

Gravity Strength & Gravity Yoga are very different!!! In our strength class the swings come down and the straps go up! This class is fun & to loud upbeat music. Gravity Strength is a total body workout incorporating body resistance work from the suspension of the straps hanging from the ceiling. Through aerobic movement & strength/toning exercises using your own body's resistance this class can be as hard or as easy as you make it. The strength & cardio methods increase core power, stamina/endurance, tone/build muscles, and can burn over 800 calories per class! (you may want to bring Workout Gloves for your hands)
Gravity Strength Fusion:
Gravity Strength Fusion is your typical gravity strength class that ends with a 15 min cool down where we take down the straps and put up our yoga swings. The cool down involves stretching those muscles we just exhausted, decompressing the spine by inverting (optional) and a 5min mini shavasana to refresh the mind and body, allowing you to leave feeling re-energized!

PARENTAL & ME GRAVITY CLASSES!
“Children are like sponges” is what they always say! Introduce ideas, languages, & beliefs within the early years to ingrain them as part of their upbringing and daily lives. If this is true (and it is proven!), I wish I had the opportunity to learn Yoga and its amazingly positive philosophies as a child!
Children gain many of the same benefits from yoga that adults do, and while children can suffer not only from the stresses and pressures of a busy day at school/daycare, they are also very affected by the stresses and demands from their caregiver or adult’s daily life. Take time for what’s most important…your personal mental wellbeing as well as your child’s! This class will be a great bonding experience and will offer practical and easy tools for you both to calm the body and mind within stressful situations.

Self-esteem: Yoga encourages a positive aspect of one’s self and of others during this important developmental stage. There is no right or wrong, and yoga is not a competition. Yoga teaches children to listen to where in their bodies they feel a movement and express how it makes them feel when they are complete. Yoga Philosophy & Valuable Tools to Cultivate a Peaceful, Relaxed State of Body and Mind for life! Yoga philosophy teaches Present Moment Awareness because when our mind is thinking about the past or future, we are missing the most valuable now. When children are engaged, focused, having fun, and following a yoga lesson, they are in the present moment. A valuable tool to carry throughout their life.
Tools for Stress Management:
Practicing yoga provides kids an immediate outlet to reduce stress in a safe and nurturing environment. It is a physical exercise that produces happy endorphins. They learn different breathing exercises to help deal with stressful situations to calm them allowing them to use their words instead acting out of anger & rage (which are extremely important & normal feelings and reactions when dealt with properly)
Focused Breath slows down the heart rate, promotes better sleep, cleanses and detoxifies the body and is used as a relaxation technique and a powerful source for calming the mind and the body. Yoga teaches non-judgment and non-competition toward oneself and one another. These are all tools that a child can carry in to any difficult life situation.
Teaches Discipline and Responsibility:
Yoga is not a destination; rather it is a journey of a lifetime, which takes discipline. Ideally, when children learn at a young age the benefit of a committed practice, it ripples out into their everyday life activities, relationships, and responsibilities. Your baby's well being is dependent on your well being. Pregnancy can be stressful; full of life changes, body changes. Come relax, find your center, & the beautiful essence of labor and motherhood that resides on your breath throughout your practice.
All mothers-to-be should be at least 3 months along to participate.
